The Pervious Apartment Building: Mechanisms of Water Entry (and legal issues arising)

Water entry into apartment buildings is a growing problem and a significant cause of building litigation. Noted building consultant and expert witness John Browning will draw on his 25 years of experience to debunk common misunderstandings about the causes and mechanisms of water entry. Includes a segment on legal/regulatory issues arising from water ingress, and a practical illustration using a model of a typical wall/window system.

John Browning's presentation will cover his observations and rectification of water entry problems from the viewpoint of an Expert Witness, as well as providing an explanation of the common causes of water entry, including a practical illustration using a model of a typical window/wall system used in apartment buildings. He will also touch on some of the major legal issues that can arise out of this issue.
